The Australian Technical Infrastructure Committee (ATIC), its specifications, and associated services are administered by Austroads. Austroads provides governance, administrative support and ongoing management of ATIC activities, including the Cementitious Materials Registration Scheme (CMRS).
The documents and resources developed by ATIC are intended primarily for use by government agencies and infrastructure owners but are also made available to the broader industry and public.
ATIC documents are intended to support nationally consistent approaches to:
- procuring construction products from an increasingly global marketplace
- managing risks associated with non-conforming and non-compliant products
- improving confidence in product performance and fitness for purpose
- supporting nationally consistent specification and conformity assessment practices
- aligning with Australian and international standards where appropriate
- promoting confidence in the technical infrastructure that underpins public infrastructure delivery.
